2026-27 Rankings / Scouting Report
Snap! Raise has raised more money for school programs than everyone else on this list combined. It's also the platform coaches complain about most. Both facts are true; here's how they fit together.
Snap! Raise is not a partner of Fundraiser Scout or booster. We earn nothing from the links on this page. Our site is operated by booster, a competitor — here's exactly how we handle that. Every factual claim below is sourced and dated.
Snap! Raise (Snap! Mobile) is the incumbent: a rep-led, roughly two-week digital fundraising campaign. A local rep meets the team, athletes submit contact information for family and friends, the platform emails and texts those contacts a donation page, and the campaign closes. The scale is real — $950M+ raised across 150,000+ groups — and since January 2025 Snap! is the exclusive fundraising partner of Varsity Brands, which puts it in front of the 75,000+ schools that already buy uniforms from BSN Sports.
The published structure is 20% of funds raised if the team hits its participation goal — and a higher rate, which Snap! does not publish, if it doesn't. Donors also cover processing of roughly 4%. Independent analyses put typical all-in cost at 20–30%. Ask your rep, in writing: what exactly is our rate if we miss the participation goal?
The engine under every Snap! campaign is students submitting 20+ contacts of family and friends. It works — Snap!'s own data ties participation directly to dollars — but it's also the single most emotionally charged complaint in this market: parents report templated asks sent to relatives they never approved, and some campaigns set per-athlete targets that turn fundraising into a locker-room leaderboard. If your district or your gut has a problem with minors' contact data leaving the building, this is the mechanic to scrutinize.
Also worth knowing: the donor list doesn't carry over. Next season's campaign starts from zero, which is convenient for the platform and expensive for you.
Programs that need a proven number this month with near-zero coach hours, are comfortable with the contact-list model, and get the full rate card in writing first. That's a real and common situation — it's why the giant is a giant.
Who should look elsewhere: programs that fundraise every single year and are tired of starting over (booster vs. Snap! Raise), programs that can't accept the student-data mechanic, and anyone who can't get the below-goal rate in writing.
